Fun & Creativity
Preschool Program
Our preschool program is open Mon to Friday, 8:30am to 11:30am and follows a play based - emergent curriculum for ages 2.5 to 5 years old. We have a planned but flexible program and we follow the lead of the children.
Programs at Wee Bairn will have established objectives to achieve on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis while encouraging flexibility and spontaneity.

Our programs are designed to meet individual needs and interest of each child while taking into consideration that every child is unique and learns at their own rate.
​
The children are exposed to materials that will challenge them at their different age levels and offers a variety of hands on experiences.
​
Excitement, fun, enjoyment and laughter are a “must” in an educational environment. We want to ensure the children are not only learning while in our center but that they love being there and want to come back every day.

Outside Play
Our children get outside to play daily for at least an hour when the weather allows. ​We spend a lot of time exploring different areas of our neighborhood and community. We use local playgrounds, parks, fields and neighborhoods to encourage socialization, learning, exploring and much more.
School Age Program
Our school aged program is for Preprimary to Grade 4 and we work in connection with the local elementary school John W. MacLeod Fleming Tower.

We offer morning care from 7:30am to 8:20am and we will walk the children to school if needed. We also have a lunch program for our school-aged children to use daily. Our afternoon program is from 2:30pm to 5:30pm which includes one of our staff picking up the children from school each afternoon and walking them back to our center.

We also offer care for our school-aged children on PD Days, beginning at 12pm, when school is closed.
​
Our children have access to various play materials such as building blocks, art supplies, board games as well as outside equipment such as hula hoops, basket/soccer balls, jump ropes etc.
